Owner Kym Kessner and Manager John Keough go way back to the early 2000’s. When working together at Tynte Street Meats, they established a formidable reputation for quality, great products and knowledgeable advice. In 2010, Kym purchased Walkerville Meat and the pair were back together with John once again Managing the business.
During their time in Walkerville, they recognised the need for Gluten Free products. After some careful research and in cooperation with the Coeliac Society, the majority of their products were soon Gluten Free, with many other dietary requirements met also. They are still registered with the Coeliac Society, offering a small discount to newly registered Coeliacs through the society.
With 80% of the products in the store Gluten Free, the shop is a must for people requiring or choosing to reduce their gluten intake.
In 2004, Kym recognised the need for a larger shop with easier access and they took over Palmdale Village Meats, in the North Adelaide Village, with it’s 2 hour free parking directly adjacent to the shop, it was the best of both worlds. The move also provided the pair with opportunity to expand into smoked goods. John has now become, arguably, an expert in the smoking process and their Smoked Salmon renown throughout Adelaide.
