Salmon Dip – 4 ways

There are many different ways you could turn our In Store, fabulous Smoked Salmon into a dip. Ready for entertaining your family and friends, just for a quiet picnic or night in with a loved one. These recipes will make the great basis of a meal!

Some recipes are easy, some are more complicated, but all of them rely on the quality of it’s hero ingredient… the Smoked Salmon used. Rest assured you are ALWAYS going to get the best result with Palmdale Meat’s Smoked Salmon.  Hot smoked (ie: flaky not slimy), means it is just perfect to make dips with.  Palmdale’s Smoked Salmon is Low Sodium, Nitrate Free and completely Gluten Free.

Here are 4 of our Staff’s favourite Smoked Salmon Dip recipes…

Kym’s Favourite Smoked Salmon Dip – Cold and Crunchy


  • A 250g block of Cream Cheese, at room temperature or warmed slightly until softened
  • 2 tablespoons good quality olive, or sweet almond, oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely minced
  • 2 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 1/2 cup of finely minced italian flat leaf parsley
  • 3/4 cup chopped roasted almonds
  • 250g Palmdale Smoked Salmon, crumbled


  • Blend cream cheese well with the oil
  • Stir in all, except the salmon, very well
  • Gently stir in Palmdale Smoked Salmon


Lorraine’s Favourite Smoked Salmon Dip – Hot and Cheesy


  • A 250g block of Cream Cheese, at room temperature or warmed slightly until softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce or Chilli Jam
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 spring onions, chopped fine
  • 250g Palmdale Smoked Salmon, flaked
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan Cheese – divided into 2 lots


  • Preset oven to 175oC
  • Beat cream cheese, seasonings, sauce and mayo together until nice and smooth.
  • Stir in the rest of the ingredients BUT, only half the cheese
  • Place into an ovenproof casserole dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly
  • Serve with crusty bread.


John’s favourite Smoked Salmon dip – Simple but WOW


  • 1/2 a block of cream cheese (or roughly 1 cup)
  • 1/4 cup of sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • juice 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco – or Chilli Jam
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh chopped dill
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped chives
  • Salt to taste
  • 250g Palmdale Smoked Salmon, shredded


  • Blend cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, capers, juice, tabasco and dill until nice and smooth
  • Stir in the chives, salmon
  • Add salt to taste.


Alex’s favourite Smoked Salmon dip – Easy but just perfect


  • 250g block of cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of VERY finely chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 250g Smoked Salmon


  • Mix everything together very well… That’s it.
